SPARTANBURG, S.C.- Jessica Brady has been named the new assistant
volleyball coach at Converse College, as announced by head volleyball
coach Regina Schantz and Director of Athletics, Joy Couch.
Jessica
comes to Converse College after an impressive collegiate career at
Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, TN where she finished in the
top ten for highest hitting percentage in school history.
“I am
ecstatic and thankful for the opportunity that Converse College has
given me,” stated Brady.
“I want to thank Joy Couch, Coach Regina
Schantz, and all of the Converse family. I am excited to work alongside
Coach Schantz and contribute to the building of this program.”
Brady,
a native of Fruitland Park, FL attended Leesburg High School in
Leesburg, FL and Lake-Sumter Community College before playing at
Carson-Newman College. She helped the Eagles to a South Atlantic
Conference runner-up finish and a NCAA National Tournament bid while
playing at Carson-Newman.
“Jessica
has experience playing volleyball at the Division II level and in
coaching,” said Schantz. “She is a great communicator and she knows the
game. I am excited to watch her grow as a coach.”
