LEESBURG - The Lady Jackets of Leesburg High School were defeated by the Umatilla Lady Bulldogs 3-2 in girls (25-22, 23-25, 25-12, 16-25, 15-10) in girls volleyball action on Monday night. The Lady Jackets played host to Umatilla at the Hive on the campus of Leesburg High School. The win was the first of the season for Umatilla, who record now stands at 1-4 on the season.
The Bulldogs took advantage of outstanding play by senior Veronica McCall and sophomore Dana Camper.
Junior Alex Perkins and Mackenzie Bennett led the Lady Jackets (5-2) with 15, and 7 kills respectively, while junior setter Sarah McKinney totaled 84 assists in the loss.
