CLERMONT - The Lady Jackets of Leesburg High School traveled to Clermont for their season opener against East Ridge High School yesterday. The Lady Knights overpowered Leesburg with a 3-0 win in a non-district matchup.
Stephanie Symed led the Lady Knights with 10 kills in a 25-20, 25-20, 25-18 sweep. Aliyah Damaniladah added 23 assists for the Knights (1-0). The loss drops Leesburg record to 0-1 (0-0) on the year. The Lady Jackets will take a few days off and return to action Tuesday, September 3, 2013 against the The Villages Charter School, in The Villages.
